ARE THE RECIPES ALLERGY FRIENDLY?
Every recipe in this lactation cookbook is gluten free and refined sugar free. Some recipes can be modified for certain nut allergies, dairy free, or vegan diets.
DO I NEED SPECIAL INGREDIENTS TO MAKE THESE RECIPES?
Some of the common ingredients are oats, oat flour, almond flour, flaxseed, chickpeas, greek yogurt, and protein powder. You WILL NOT need any brewer's yeast or barley, and all ingredients can be found at any supermarket or Walmart.
CAN MY PARTNER, KIDS, OR FRIENDS EAT THESE RECIPES?
Yes! While each recipe is considered a "lactation recipe," they are all safe to share with others. My husband has tried almost recipe in this cookbook!
HOW CAN I TELL IF THE RECIPES ARE HELPING MY MILK SUPPLY?
If you are exclusively pumping, you will notice more ounces of milk per pumping session or a total increase in overall ounces in a 24 hour period.
If you are exclusively breastfeeding, it might be a little bit harder to tell, but in my experience, my baby seemed happier after each feeding and he didn't need to eat as often. I also noticed that I had a stronger let-down each time.
